Founded in 1989 by the National Trust for Historical Preservation, Historic Hotels of America fosters heritage tourism in the United States. Member hotels are renowned for a link to history, architecture and art. To be selected, a hotel must be at least 50 years old and eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
